How can we help?
Answers to the common questions are below. If something still isn't working, email us and we'll get back to you.
How do I connect to the bike display?
WayXCast works with compatible motorcycle displays over the bike's own Wi-Fi. There's no account, sign-in or Bluetooth key. Do this once, while parked:
- Park and switch on the motorcycle.
- Open the Navigation screen on the bike's display and keep it open.
- In WayXCast, open the Bike tab.
- Android: tap Find, then tap your motorcycle in the list. Allow Nearby devices if Android asks, and confirm any connection prompt.
- iPhone: tap Connect the bike display and follow the connection guide. It joins the bike's Wi-Fi network (you need its password once; iOS remembers it) and finds the display. Tap Allow if iOS asks to find devices on your local network.
- Look at the bike's display. Once connected, it shows the WayXCast ride companion by itself.
Keep your phone near the bike. Setup and connection help in the Bike tab walks through the same steps.
The bike display doesn't show the picture
A Wi-Fi connection alone doesn't mean a picture is on the display. Try these in order:
- Close casting in any other app, on this phone or on another phone nearby. Only one app can use the bike display at a time.
- Close and reopen Navigation on the motorcycle, especially if it still shows another app.
- Keep WayXCast open with the bike's Navigation screen showing, and give it up to 10 seconds; the first picture can take a moment.
- On iPhone, check in Settings → Wi-Fi that your iPhone is joined to the bike's network, and that Local Network is on for WayXCast in Settings.
Still nothing? Share diagnostics from the Bike tab and send it to us.
How do automatic rides work?
Turn on Automatic rides in the Bike tab. While the bike display is connected, a ride starts when you ride off and ends when you park and switch the bike off. You can lock your phone; WayXCast keeps recording and reconnects if the bike's display drops.
On iPhone, automatic rides need location set to Always. Choose Change to Always Allow when iOS asks, or set it in Settings.
You can also start and stop a ride yourself from the Ride tab. Rides still record on your phone when the bike display isn't connected.
How do I make a ride video?
Open a ride in the Rides tab and tap Make ride video. Choose the length, resolution and quality, then keep WayXCast open until it's done. Each video is kept with its ride, so you can make a few and choose, then share it or save it to your gallery.
Photos and videos you took during the ride pop up along the route. Allow photos and videos so WayXCast can find them. Add your own with +, tap a video to choose the part that plays, or tap × to leave one out.
The video is drawn over a map, so it needs an internet connection. If it couldn't be made, check your connection and try again.
Buying WayXCast Pro, and Restore purchase
WayXCast Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play, with no subscription. Open WayXCast Pro in the Bike tab, or tap the Free badge at the top of a tab.
On a new phone, or after reinstalling, tap Restore purchase on the Pro screen while signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account. If Pro shows as waiting, for example for Ask to Buy, it turns on as soon as the purchase is approved.
Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their rules. WayXCast never sees your payment details.
Sharing diagnostics
If the bike display doesn't show WayXCast, open the Bike tab, tap Share diagnostics and send the report to hello@sdmv.my.id.
The report goes only where you send it. It contains no location and masks network addresses.
WayXCast is an independent project by SDMV. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms.
